Your total School-Year transportation costs are:
And that's it.
We make $$$ when transportation companies purchase our Commercial Auto Insurance and have stronger-than-average safety records.
Also, we offer SAFETY tech to schools which can improve communication and lower risk.
As part of that program, we require transportation providers to use
telematics devices (and you should too!) that use in vehicle-and-outwards facing cameras. We can use the systems that a transportation company already has in place, or you can use ours (with a three year commitment) at no additional cost to the program.
You can find details about how the safety program works
here. Pricing is typically $2K per vehicle per year, with two exceptions, which we'll cover below.
No.
Most transportation brokers charge a fee to connect Schools and Transportation Providors. Since we make money on selling Commercial Auto Insurance to low-risk transportation providers and safety tech to schools, we do not charge a fee for connecting our network.
Here is an overview of our
Dispatch Safety Tech program.

As school leaders, one knows your market better than you do. However, based on our extensive network connections to more than 2,000 operators across North America, we can potentially locate willing providers are competitive rates that you migth have missed.
By completing safety assessments on transportation providers, you'll be able to compare apples to apples, assessing quoted rates against safety scores.
Small transportation providers struggle to get started because they struggle to get access to Commercial Auto Insurance. We can connect these companies, through our our Insurance Services, to best-in-class onboarding programs.
We also deliver Compliance assistance and support to understand the regulatory environment.
Wondering how to get started?
You may already have a transportation program in place, or you may be starting from scratch. Meet with a Shuttlebee rep to start exploring your options.
Based on our experience with your market, we'll review three non-binding quotes for transportation in your area.
Providing negotiated transportation quotes is a very important companion to the safety tech that we provide, and we only work with bus companies with high safety ratings. The safety service is something that the school would pay for. By signing an Letter of Intent (LOI), Shuttlebee will secure firm quotes and being our pre-underwriting process to score transportation providers on safety.
Once payment for our Dispatch Program is received, Shuttlebee will deliver firm transportation quotes. Our Dispatch Fee is refundable if you decline to move forward with our recommended transportation partners.
